Windows 7, Vista and XP can provide updates and drivers to currently installed or new adapters using Windows Update. As soon as the device is plugged in or recently installed, Windows will attempt to connect to the Internet and download the drivers automatically. Use the following steps to let Windows do the installation for you. Step 2: Install the device driver for the network card. Windows will detect that you have installed a new hardware. In most cases it will install the drivers automatically. If not, you need to install the drivers manually from the CD supplied with the network card. I am using Windows 7 operating system to demonstrate each step.
